Redbank Plains Community Hall – 180 School Road Redbank Plains.
We now only have club, open to players of all ages and skill levels.
The club operates on Friday nights. The club closes during school holidays and public holidays (including Ipswich Show Day).
5:30pm – 6:00pm: Registration and casual games.
6:00pm – 8:30pm: Tournament games
All games are submitted for Queensland Junior Chess Ratings.
Club founder, Ed Cubilla, partitioned the Ipswich City Council to set up outdoor chess tables at the Robelle Domain. This is a casual gathering.
Unfortunately, we have discontinued meetings at the Robelle Domain. We are always looking for volunteers who could help get this up and running again.
Open Club
Note we no longer have a junior club and an open club. We now have the one club open to everyone.
Friday nights that are not public holidays.
Note we are closed 16.05.2025 due to the Ipswich Show Day public holiday.
Simply show up to the club at start time.
We accept players at all levels. The bare minimum is that players know the basic rules of chess.
